Are there hybrid courses in the 2024 edition?

The 2024 edition is comprised of only online courses.

Can I participate online in the face-to-face classes?

The 2024 Edition will hold only online courses.

I am not a political science student / expert. Can I still participate in the summer school?

The summer school is open to all those interested in methodology in social sciences.

I am an undergraduate student. Can I participate?

This course is developed for graduate students and academics. Still, there can be exceptions made for undergraduate students on the basis of transcripts and motivation letters. If you are an undergraduate student and wish to participate in our summer method school, please send your transcript and motivation letter explaining why you wish to participate in this course. Both documents should be sent to ipsa-abu@antalya.edu.tr

Is there any specific currency that I need to pay in?

All participants pay in US Dollars.

Why do I pay in US Dollars?

We host international participants and academics in this program. Collecting the tuition fees in different currencies would make administration complicated especially with the current fluctuations in the currency rates.

Do I get a discount if I register for more than one course?

Unfortunately, there is no discount for partcipants that attend both weeks of the summer school.

Is it possible to get funding for personal expenses or a tuition fee waiver?

Yes, participation funds are available. Please check the details on the registration page. You can also check for funding available at your department and/or Erasmus Offices in your own institution.

Can I get a refund of my registration fee in the case of an unexpected situation?

Yes, participants will be refunded. However, a 10% administrative fee will be charged in case of a cancellation.

Will the Summer School offer course completion certificates to participants?

Yes, participants will be given a certificate upon successful completion of the course.

Is there a possibility for the department (or Faculty/or University) to grant ECTS credits?

Yes. The sending institution can decide to count the course taken at IPSA Summer School within their curriculum. Recognizing credits for each course is fully at the discretion of the sending institution. Upon request by the sending institution, local organizers will provide them with details on the prerequisites for successfully completing the course (including assignments and number of hours). A written exam can be administered at the wish of the participants. Exams are prepared and graded by the course instructor.

Why do I select three different courses?

Participants are expected to indicate three preferences in case it is not possible to place them in their most preferred course(s).

What will happen if I cannot be placed in my selected course?

You will be placed in your 2nd or 3rd preferences. Course allocations are done on a first come, first served basis. You will receive a total refund if you cannot be placed in any of the 3 courses you select.

How many participants will be in each course?

Each course will have minumum of 12 and maximum of 20 participants.
